Founded by Jimmy Illescas, the Tropical Restaurants heritage stems from some incredibly soulful talent in the kitchen and a passion to bring the very best to the people who demand truly authentic Latin dishes our customers have come to love. The story of Tropical and the early beginnings is a rich history of tradition and culture.
Originally opening up in Woodhaven, Queens in 1996, the success has enabled them to open 4 other locations spread out in Queens. Each one, hoping to bring the rich Ecuadorian history of tradition and culture to their community.
Founder Jaime Illescas and his chain of traditional Latin Restaurants have won many excellence awards over the years.
